A Home That Shifts

A Home That Shifts explores the fragile relationship between architecture, memory and the idea of home. An exposed timber framework resembles an unfinished house, while fractured panels made from potato-starch biomaterial suggest walls gradually deteriorating.
Inspired by childhood memories of the artist's mother cooking, the installation brings together potatoes, kitchen objects and fragments of domestic infrastructure. Potato starch becomes both a reference to everyday family rituals and a fragile building material, connecting the artist's present life in London with memories of her childhood home.
Through the contrast between rigid architectural structures and unstable organic materials, the work reflects on home as something constantly changing — a place that exists not only through physical structures but also through memories of warmth, love and loss.
