XenoGarden Blossoms

XenoGarden Blossoms explores the changing boundaries between the human body, nature and medical technology. Cast from a pig's heart using plant-based biomaterials, the sculptures gradually lost their original anatomical shape during drying, transforming into unfamiliar forms that resemble both internal organs and botanical growths.
Presented on surgical kidney dishes, the sculptures reference "xenotransplantation" — the transplantation of animal organs into humans. The unpredictable transformation of the material reflects the increasingly blurred boundaries between natural and artificially modified life, raising questions about bodily identity, medical advancement and the ethics of using animals as biological resources.
